The students in the Conference and Exhibition Management class in the College of Hospitality and Tourism Leadership at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee are putting the theory they learn in the class into practice. They are organizing the Global Conference on Education and Research (GLOCER). The conference will host 200+ researchers from 30+ countries in May 22-25, 2017 in Sarasota, Florida, USA.
The students decided to have the gala and awards dinner at the IMG Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida. As part of the preparations for the conference, the students met with Mr Jeff Parsons, the General Manager of the Club to decide on the menu items and accompanying wine.
The students are excited to prepare a world class conference for the attendees.
